Launch lunch was a "resounding success"

4-Mar-2009: The Richmond Park constituency (Con PPC: Zac Goldsmith) launched a CWO Committee yesterday at a lunch at the association offices.

With 30 ladies in attendance and after a sumptuous buffet lunch, the group heard from the Association Chairman, Cllr Pamela Fleming, who organised the lunch, then from the Chairman-elect, Charlotte Vere. Lady Annabel Goldsmith has agreed to become President of the CWO Committee.

Pamela Fleming then invited Niki Molnar, CWO Deputy Chairman, to speak to the ladies, in which she told the group about the important work that the CWO does.

There are already plans afoot for many events and if anyone is interested in joining the CWO in Richmond Park, then please contact Elaine Hall at HQ on elaine.hall@conservatives.com or contact the Richmond Park Conservatives directly.

Niki Molnar said "It is so important to recognise that women are core to the success of the Conservative Party, as not only can their vote help win us the next election, but we must encourage more women - both young and old - to get involved in politics at any level.

"Having such a large and vibrant CWO Committee in Richmond Park will certainly help draw in more women from the region and both Pamela and Charlotte should be congratulated on this new committee. The launch was a resounding success!"

Richmond Park CWO Committee is part of the CWO London Region. A full AGM will be held shortly.
