Conservative Women's Organisation hold meeting in Doncaster

11-Mar-2009: As Chairman of the Yorkshire Region CWO, I was pleased to welcome to Doncaster ladies from all over the Country, who had travelled to The Dome.
Having initiated the venue for this event, which for the first time was held out of the Capital, it was a great pleasure to hear the complimentary comments about the facilities offered by the Conference Centre at the Dome.

The ease of travel by road and rail to the Dome made it possible to hold this event in Doncaster.

Cllr Jonathan Wood, Conservative Mayoral Candidate, met Eric Pickles MP, Chairman of the Conservative Party, at the Station and after a brief tour of locations in Doncaster Town Centre, brought Eric Pickles to the Conference, where he addressed the Delegates.

Speakers included Women Entrepreneurs from a variety of backgrounds who addressed the packed Conference room.

It was quite an occasion and I hope that it will auger well for a return visit next year.

It has been good to raise the profile of Doncaster for the right reasons!
