The Conservative Women's Organisation (CWO) annual Blue Ribbon Dinner was once again held at the Savoy Hotel in London on the 15 May 2007. Guests included Oliver Letwin MP and many other Conservative colleagues.
Fiona Hodgson, Chairman of CWO said:
"Once again this has been again this has been a very successful evening; we were honoured not only by our guest speaker, Oliver Letwin MP but also thrilled to have so many of our parliamentary colleagues present.
"Empowering women to reach their full potential and ensuring that the women's vote is captured at the next election, is the constant goal of the CWO. This evening enabled us to both raise funds and to hear the Conservatives showcase their key messages for women. It was a hugely successful evening."
Rt Hon Oliver Letwin MP, the guest of honour said:
"A wonderful evening – the CWO does a terrific job, on policy, on improving our operation and in promoting the Conservatives to women."
The Rt Hon Francis Maude MP, Chairman of the Conservative Party said:
"Tonight's dinner demonstrates the powerful force which women once again represent in the Conservative Party.
"We are a Party of achievement and of change, equality and democracy now we need to get that message out across the country, so that every woman can share our values and join our mission. We must all work together to bring that about."
Other parliamentarians at the event included Eleanor Laing MP, Caroline Spelman MP, Anne Macintosh MP, Alistair Burt MP, Rt Hon Michael Ancram MP, Alan Duncan MP and Stephen O'Brien MP to name a few.
